“This one time I was at Advanced Auto changing my light bulb on my car, and a gentlemen said, ‘Oh, what do you fix cars?” I said “No, I fixed airplanes.’ And he just got quiet. So, you know, I just kind of like to throw out little tidbits there to just jokingly confuse people, or just kind of get a reaction out of them that often leads to a fun conversation. He was like a deer in the headlights. He paused because he was thinking, I could see the wheels turning, then he started talking about it and I got to tell him about how I’m a police officer as a civilian but then I get to do this DV mission as a reservist. I think I kind of impressed him a little bit.” Senior Airman Bianca Myers, who’s a crew chief, isochronal inspection shop with the 932nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Scott Air Force Base, IL, Nov 21, 2024.
