    FALLS CHURCH, Va. (Dec. 6, 2024) Capt. Romeo Tizon, the director, Headquarters Operations, speaks at the 83rd Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony at U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) headquarters, Dec. 6. On Dec. 7, 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy attacked the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, killing more than 2,000 service members and civilians and injuring over 1,000 more. Those who lost their lives include 17 Navy Medicine personnel: 15 hospital corpsmen, one Dental Corps officer, and one Medical Corps officer. (U.S. Navy photo by Kaylon Chladek)
