In front of family, friends, fellow Soldiers, and members of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts, Col. Kenneth P. Wisniewski III was promoted to the rank of brigadier general at a promotion ceremony at Faneuil Hall in Boston, December 7, 2024.
Presiding over the ceremony was Maj. Gen. Gary W. Keefe, The Massachusetts National Guard Adjutant General, who spoke to Wisniewski’s dedication to service.
“He’s sacrificed a lot, and the fact that Ken stuck with the Guard and kept plugging away is a testament to his character and his dedication to service,” said Keefe.
During the ceremony, Wisniewski’s daughters Emma and Ava and wife Holly pinned on his new rank. His son Pvt. Kenneth Wisniewski IV presented him with his general officer’s flag.
Maj. Gen. Ray Shileds, The Adjutant General of the New York National Guard, issued the reaffirmation oath of office to Wisniewski. Wisniewski will go on to serve in the New York National Guard.
