Dr. Mark Dertzbaugh, the Principal Assistant for Research and Technology at Medical Research and Development Command, offers remarks during his retirement ceremony which took place at Fort Detrick Dec. 10. During his 33-year career at MRDC Dertzbaugh served as a pioneering research scientist and as a visionary strategic leader, first with the Research Institute of Infectious Diseases and then with the PART.
