(Dec. 10, 2024) – Equipment Operator 1st Class Justin Koppenhaver is congratulated by shipmates after being frocked to first class petty officer during NCG-1’s frocking ceremony onboard Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme, Dec. 10, 2024. NCG 1 is homeported in Pt. Hueneme, California, and leads and manages the overall capability and readiness of its Naval Construction Regiments, Naval Mobile Construction Battalions, Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit, and Underwater Construction Team. NCG1 provides the required engineering support that the Navy and Nation needs to construct and maintain base facilities, repair battle damaged facilities, conduct defensive operations as required, and to meet disaster preparedness and recovery missions.
