SILVER SPRING, Md. (Dec. 9, 2024) Scientists and staff with Naval Medical Research Command present ongoing Navy Medicine efforts during a visit by partners from Vietnam’s 108 Military Central Hospital. Navy Medicine Research & Development, led by NMRC, conducts a broad suite of research alongside Vietnamese partners, through its Naval Medical Research Unit (NAMRU) INDO PACIFIC command. Headquartered out of Singapore, NAMRU INDO PACIFIC conducts research in cooperation with host nations in Vietnam, Laos, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand to improve global health, ensure military force health protection and address infectious diseases such as malaria, dengue fever virus and gastro-intestinal pathogens.
