The K4WAR club radio uses this Collins KWM-2A HF Radio Transceiver. The KWM-2A is an extended frequency version of the KWM-2 for MARS and military applications. These radios were produced from 1959 all the way until 1984 and are still in demand. Club members paid to refurbish the radio and put into working condition. The DoD released thousands of these radios in the late ‘80s in favor of more modern technology. This particular radio was produced sometime after 1968.
