The deputy commanding general of the U.S. Training and Doctrine Command, Lt. Gen. David Halverson, tells service members studying Chinese at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center that their language and culture training will be a “life skill.” Halverson visited DLIFLC Feb. 20 on the Presidio of Monterey, Calif.
