Construction crews use a long-stick excavator to install a 700-foot-long seepage cutoff wall in the center of the Sacramento River East Levee to help reduce seepage and stability issues. This work is part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer's American River Common Features Water Resources Development Act of 2016 Project to further reduce flood risk in Sacramento, California.
