NEWPORT, R.I.— Professor Andrew Lambert, the Laughton Professor of Naval History in the Department of War Studies at King's College, London, center right, is awarded the Hattendorf Prize for Distinguished Original Research in Maritime History onboard Naval Station Newport, Dec. 19, 2024. King's College and NWC regularly partner on academic projects, including the Corbett 100 project, a collaborative effort to advance research in naval history and maritime strategy between scholars worldwide. Established in 1884, NWC is the oldest institution of its kind in the world. The college delivers excellence in education, research, and outreach, informing today’s decision makers, educating tomorrow’s leaders, and engaging partners and allies on all matters of naval power in order to preserve the peace, respond in crisis, and win decisively in war.
