Arkansas National Guard Soldiers from the 142nd Field Artillery Brigade patrol from the Bobby Hopper Tunnel to the Missouri state line, assisting Arkansas State Police and providing aid to stranded motorists during an early January winter storm. The 142nd was activated for Arkansas State Duty as part of the response to the storm, which dropped up to 8 inches of snow across Northwest Arkansas from Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, to Friday, Jan. 10, 2025. Soldiers are seen clearing snow-covered windows and marking abandoned vehicles with caution tape to indicate they have been checked by Guardsmen.
