ARLINGTON, Va. (Jan. 14, 2025) Vice Adm. Brendan McLane, commander, Naval Surface Forces, presents the Surface Warfare Officer of the Year award for Atlantic fleet to Lt. Cmdr. James Sightler, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Laboon (DDG 58), at the Surface Navy Association’s (SNA) 37th National Symposium. The symposium brings together joint experts and decision-makers in the military, industry, and Congress to discuss how the Surface Force is a critical element of national defense and security.
