A C-17 Globemaster III assigned to Joint Base Lewis-McChord prepares to receive fuel from a KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 92nd Air Refueling Wing during a KC-135 incentive flight over the Pacific Northwest in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, Jan. 13, 2025. Airmen from across the installation witnessed the aerial refueling of a C-17 during the flight. Airmen also hosted an on-base remembrance event to honor the life and work of Dr. King. Fairchild AFB provides incentive flights like this to showcase how the KC-135’s aerial refueling capabilities enhance the Air Force's ability to accomplish its Rapid Global Mobility missions.
