U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Connor Dougherty, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency medic, lowers a simulated casualty through an automatic belay device during a recovery mission in Laos, Jan. 18, 2025. DPAA team members used this system to lower a Skedco stretcher off of a mountain. The task allowed team members to practice safely evacuating a patient in case of an emergency.
