PITI, Guam - Service members from guided-missile destroyer USS O’Kane (DDG 77), and Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz volunteer for a painting project at the Guam Veterans Cemetery, Jan. 18.
Following the project, volunteers were invited by the American Red Cross Guam Chapter to join a volunteer appreciation gathering at Family Beach.
USS O’Kane visited Guam following a deployment in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, where they ensured the safety of maritime routes and responded to threats that could disrupt global trade and prosperity.
Joint Region Marianas supports relationship building through coordination of projects that connect service members with the communities they serve.
