U.S. Air Force loadmasters unload U.S. Army cargo from the 23rd Military Police Company, 716th Military Police Battalion, 16th Military Police Brigade, from a 62nd Air Wing C-17 Globemaster III at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., on Jan. 25, 2025. U.S. Northern Command is working together with the Department of Homeland Security to augment U.S. Customs and Border Protection along the southern border with additional military forces.
