With the passing of the guidon almost complete, 1st Sgt. Melvyn Lopez, incoming first sergeant for HHC, USAG Vicenza, accepts the authority and responsibility of the first sergeant that the guidon represents. The passing of the guidon demonstrates to the soldiers of the unit that outgoing first sergeant has passed the mantle of leadership to the new first sergeant, and with this, also passes the loyalty of the soldiers, March 8, 2013, Caserma “C.
