Wallis (left), rifleman, Company I, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment works with Iraqi police (IP) to teach them how to search vehicles passing through Entry Control Point 3 in Fallujah, Al Anbar province, Iraq on February 25, 2008. The IP are now searching more vehicles on their own with training received from Marines. Regimental Combat Team 1 is deployed with Multi-National Force-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi security forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
