A new U.S. Marine Corps recruit with Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, arrives at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California, Jan. 27, 2025. During the receiving process, recruits are checked for contraband, given a haircut, make a scripted phone call home, and issued gear required for training.
