Then 1st Sgt. Ronald Morris celebrating his marriage to his wife Diane on August 25, 2018. Diane was the one that knew of his interest in the Corps of Engineers and Hords Creek Lake and was the push that he needed to pursue his interest. Morris would go on to spend more than 40 years in uniform, serving in the Army and Navy. He would retire as a 1st Sgt. in the Texas Army National Guard on December 31, 2018.
