The 39th Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. Eric M. Smith, passes a slice of cake to the oldest Marine present, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Cpl. Mildred Cox, during the Boston Semper Fi Luncheon in Boston, MA on Nov. 13, 2024. Cox served in the Marine Corps from 1944 to 1946 as a stenographer.
