Alaska Army National Guard Chief Warrant Officer 3 Dana Clifford, a UH-60L Black Hawk pilot assigned to A Company, 1-168th General Support Aviation Battalion, inspects the tail rotor before flying to the Herbert Glacier riverbed near Juneau, Alaska, Jan. 25, 2025. The AKARNG aviators provided air support for a troop movement of infantrymen from A Company, 1st Battalion, 297th Infantry Regiment. After inserting into the training area, the infantrymen set up a bivouac site and honed their soldiering skills while operating in a cold and wet environment.
