The Stern Landing Vessel HOS Resolution sits docked ahead of fuel onloading during a Petroleum Over the Shore (POTS) exercise at Naval Base White Beach, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 4, 2025. The POTS training, conducted by the Marines of 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, is designed to strengthen the capabilities of expeditious fuel transmission between vessel and shore utilizing the SLV, which is designed specifically to maneuver through the littorals and is being used to inform the overall development of the Marine Corps’ next Medium Landing Ship.
