Edgar Gonzalez, a Texas native, the Assistant Detachment Commander of Marine Security Guard Detachment Nairobi, for his efforts and accomplishments with the MSG detachment on the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya, Feb. 4, 2025. Sofge attended several engagements during his visit to Kenya, including observing and learning about the newly established Kenyan Marine Commando Unit trained and equipped by Marines from the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
