NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY SOUDA BAY, Greece (Feb. 6, 2025) Sailors assigned to Naval Support Activity (NSA) Souda Bay prepare to moor the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) at the NATO Marathi Pier Complex in Souda Bay, Crete, Greece, during a scheduled port visit on Feb. 6, 2025. NSA Souda Bay provides logistical and operational support to the components of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, which arrived in the Eastern Mediterranean after two months of combat operations in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. NSA Souda Bay is an operational ashore installation that enables and supports U.S., Allied, Coalition, and partner nation forces to preserve security and stability in the European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility.
