Jumpmasters from the Utti Jaeger Regiment prepare to deploy a bundle of skis following a static line jump during bilateral training at Utti Jaeger Regiment Base, Finland, Jan. 30, 2025. Skis and sleds allow forces to travel more effectively in austere environments once on the drop zone. This training showcases U.S. forces’ lethality as well as re-establishes the U.S. military as a formidable deterrent to those who may try to test America’s military capabilities.
