Nearly 200 military chaplains and religious leaders from across the globe gathered at the Church of Saint James in Brussels, Belgium, Jan. 27, 2025. The chaplains and religious leaders gathered to kick off the 36th annual International Chief of Chaplains Conference.
The International Military Chiefs of Chaplains Conference (IMCCC) began in 1990 to unite senior military chaplains in supporting those affected by combat; today, it strengthens international relations, enhances spiritual care, advises commanders on religion in theater, and promotes religious freedom—now including dozens of countries, with IMCCC 2025 hosting 200 participants from 43 nations.
