M1224 MaxxPro Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles arrive at Erbil Air Base, July 15, 2024. The 401st Army Field Support Brigade issued the MRAPS to the 44th Infantry Brigade Combat Team from Army Prepositioned Stock-5 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. APS-5 is one of the largest sets of prepositioned ground-force equipment in the world and is maintained in the U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility to provide combatant commanders additional combat power in response to emerging threats.
