Spc. Kayla R. Hoff of Montpelier, N.D., (center) enjoys a lunch as the guest of Operation Homefront of Texas at Las Palmas Del Sol Medical Center in east El Paso, Texas, March 8. Hoff, a wheeled vehicle mechanic, has been battling cancer for more than a year. After her amputation, the cancer has spread to her lungs. Hoff is assigned to the Warrior Transition Battalion at Fort Bliss, Texas. Hoff received several medical screenings before and after a luncheon to honor the service of wounded Warriors.
