U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Melissa Mendez, first sergeant for the 153rd Security Forces Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard, balances her dual role as a leader in uniform and a primary prevention specialist. Mendez was recognized as the 2024 Integrated Primary Prevention Specialist of the Year, one of only three selected nationwide and the only lead recipient.
