The Officer in Charge of Construction (OICC) Marine Corps Marianas (MCM) conducted a 'punch list' walkthrough of the new Enlisted Dining Facility (DFAC) on Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz in February, including a thorough inspection of the new snack bar area in the facility designed to provide hundreds of meals a day.
A punch list is a list that compiles specific construction details that need to be addressed before a building can be delivered to the intended occupants. Some are small, like tightening a screw or replacing a bulb, and some are more intensive, like verifying equipment fittings match specs or electrical wiring has been routed correctly between switches and lights. To ensure every detail is reviewed, staff with OICC MCM walk the facility as group along with a variety of engineering and construction specialists. The goal is to get expert eyes on their work, verify corrections have been made, and close out any remaining concerns.
