Col. Ignacio A. Assaf, the outgoing 159th Maintenance Group commander and current 159th Fighter Wing deputy wing commander, reflects on his time as the 159 MG commander and has faith that incoming commander Col. Jesse Hasenkampf will lead the group with great vigor in a joint change of command and promotion ceremony at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, Jan 11. Assaf enlisted in the Louisiana Air National Guard as an aerospace propulsion specialist and later commissioned in 2000 and became the commander of the 159th Logistics Support Flight.
