The ID tag of George W. Wallis, a Soldier believed to have been assigned to the 10th Mountain Division during World War II, is displayed near Bologna, Italy, Feb. 19, 2025. The ID tag was given to Col. Anthony Gore, commander of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (LI) during the 80th Anniversary of Riva Ridge, as Wallis is believed to have helped assault Riva Ridge during the famous battle.
