POINT MUGU, Calif (Feb 21, 2025) - Capt. Jason Kranz, chief staff officer, Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) and Civil Engineer Corps Officers assigned to Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southwest, NBVC Public Works Office, gather to highlight Engineers Week (E-Week) onboard Point Mugu, Feb. 21. E-Week began in 1951 to recognize the contributions and essential roles that engineer's accomplish to maximize force readiness to enhance warfighter capability. NBVC is major shore warfighting platform; providing sustained ready forces to deploy, fight, and win. Composed of three operating facilities: Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island and home of the Pacific Seabees, West Coast E-2D Hawkeyes, 3 warfare centers and 110 tenant commands.
