Members of the U.S. Coast Guard Forces Micronesia/Sector Guam Sector Boarding Team conduct a routine security boarding of the Panamanian-flagged 348-foot (106 meter) LPG tanker, Gas Quest, as it makes its way into Guam on Feb. 3, 2025. This operation is part of the U.S. Coast Guard’s Port, Waterways, and Coastal Security (PWCS) mission, where they actively secure the integrity of the Maritime Transportation System. With the port serving as a critical hub for Guam and the region, they are on the front lines, ensuring safe, uninterrupted movement of global commerce and protecting vital maritime assets.
