NAVAL BASE GUAM (Feb. 25, 2025) - Anjanette S. Knappenberger, the executive director and director of staff, U.S. Pacific Fleet (PACFLT), met with U.S. Naval Base Guam (NBG) Commanding Officer Capt. While at NBG, Knappenberber was able to get an up close look of areas near the old shipyard, Kilo Wharf, the Orote Plant, and Glass Breakwater and discuss infrastructure initiatives, capabilities, and modernization efforts.

NBG enables operational mission success to tenant commands as well as homeported and transient ships. NBG’s mission is to support the forces of the U.S. Pacific Fleet and is an important logistics and maintenance port for rotational units. The installation is home to more than 35 major tenant commands, approximately 7,500 military and civilian personnel, and more than 5,000 dependents.
