U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Oswald Murray, an Ohio native and a combat engineer with Charlie Company, 8th Engineer Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, uses a metal detector to detect simulated improvised explosive devices during a humanitarian assistance survey team training mission at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Feb. 21, 2025. As the command element of a Marine Air-Ground Task Force, the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit completed a certification exercise, conducted by Expeditionary Operations Training Group, to prepare for a diverse range of potential future missions, including personnel recovery, embassy reinforcement, foreign humanitarian assistance, and non-combatant evacuation operations.
