A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey aircraft with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261 (VMM-261) lands at Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue, North Carolina prior to a mass casualty on Feb. 23, 2025. As the command element of a Marine Air-Ground Task Force, the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit completed a certification exercise, conducted by Expeditionary Operations Training Group, to prepare for a diverse range of potential future missions, including personnel recovery, embassy reinforcement, foreign humanitarian assistance, and non-combatant evacuation operations.
