The Cat in the Hat. Thing 1, Thing 2 and Marine Corps Air Station New River Library employees greeted service member and their family to the Read Across America event held at the library, Mar. 1. Members of Marine Corps Community Services and Coastal Carolina Community College read excerpts of Dr. Seuss books to more than 130 people who all read along as the book as displayed on a projector screen. Read Across America is held every year on the school date closest to Dr. Seuss’ birthday, Mar. 2, to promote reading in children of all ages.
