Charles Wilhite, deputy commander the of Navy and Marine Corps Force Health Protection Command (NMCFHPC) speaks to attendees during a townhall meeting on February 26, 2025, at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia. During the meeting NMCFHPC leadership discussed the new executive orders and shared information about what is going on within the command. The purpose of the meeting was to inform and provide clarity on how the executive orders will impact Department of Defense (DoD) personnel going forward. NMCFHPC leadership covered several topics pertaining to the new executive orders including cultural observances, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA), the deferred resignation program, probationary staff, hiring freeze and the executive order for limiting federal hiring, return to in-person work, and the DoD policy on harassment and discrimination. Wilhite spoke about the “Movers and Shakers” program and how it can be beneficial for Navy leadership and briefly touch on the “Get real, Get Better” program curriculum.
