A U.S. Army M109A7 Paladin self-propelled howitzer maneuvers across the field during Table VI fire certifications, in Adazi Military Base, Latvia, Feb. 19, 2025. The certification process includes a set of artillery tables including testing of written, driving and equipment testing. Upon completing these evaluations, soldiers advance to Table VI, the live-fire certification where they conduct their final qualification using live ammunition. Exercises like these ensure crews maintain lethal proficiency on the battlefield. V Corps participates in more than 50 exercises, symposiums, and leader summits annually with allied and partner nations to build capability and capacity along NATO’s eastern flank.
