Daniel Montes Loaiza, an engineer equipment operator with the 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3d Marine Logistics Group, operates a hydraulic excavator for road construction in Ban Chan Khrem, Chantaburi Province, Thailand, Feb. 28, 2024, as part of Cobra Gold. Cobra Gold is the largest joint exercise in mainland Asia, taking place from Feb. 26 - Mar. 8, 2025. Cobra Gold highlights the strong partnership between Thailand and the United States while strengthening interoperability and enhancing readiness through field exercises, disaster simulations and humanitarian projects with allied and partnered nations and civilian agencies.
