Among the monuments, memorials, and plaques in Fort Drum’s Memorial Park is a bench bearing the name of Nate Morrell, a World War II veteran who served in the 10th Mountain Division. Later in life, his work in the National Association of the 10th Mountain Division was instrumental to the development of Memorial Park, which continues to inspire and educate Soldiers, family members, and civilians about the service and sacrifice of fallen warriors.
