Royal Australian Navy Commodore David Frost, Naval Attaché to Washington, visited the Navy Warfare Development Center (NWDC) at Naval Station Norfolk on March 6, 2025, where he was welcomed by NWDC Director Mr. Michael Durkin.

During his visit, Commodore Frost emphasized the enduring strength of the partnership between the United States and Australia, particularly in naval cooperation. As both nations share a deep commitment to global security and stability, this collaboration has been critical in enhancing mutual defense capabilities, improving interoperability, and advancing shared strategic objectives.

The discussions at the NWDC focused on reinforcing joint efforts in naval warfare, technology integration, and readiness training, highlighting the importance of continued coordination between the U.S. Navy and the Royal Australian Navy. This partnership is pivotal in enhancing operational effectiveness and addressing emerging threats in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.

Commodore Frost also recognized Commander Simon Dent, an Australian Navy officer assigned to NWDC’s Personnel Exchange Program, for his 20 years of military service.
