Dan "DB" Brown, commanding officer, Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), speaks with members from Navy Exchange (NEX) during the grand opening of the Port Hueneme Micro Market inside building 1520, Feb. 28. The Micro Market is a self-service, self-checkout store that offers a broad array of fresh food, healthy and traditional snacks, and beverage products at a convenient location for ease of access and quick purchases. NBVC is major shore warfighting platform; providing sustained ready forces to deploy, fight, and win. Composed of three operating facilities: Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island and home of the Pacific Seabees, West Coast E-2D Hawkeyes, 3 warfare centers and 110 tenant commands.
