Carolyn Bauer, a former Lake Cumberland park ranger who recently retired from the Corps in March with 35 years of service, talks as an honorary display wall is unveiled to commemorate the service of park rangers at the Lake Cumberland Visitor's Center, March 13, 2013. Bauer called Wallace Halcomb, the honoree, a great teacher, a mentor and a fun-loving family man. Current and former park rangers, employees, family members and friends commemorate the service of park rangers over the decades as environmental regulators and guardians of historic lands.
