Sgt. Lisha A. Fairbairn, a combat engineer with the 950th Engineer Company, 724th Engineer Battalion, completes a written exam for the call-for-fire exercise during the Wisconsin Army National Guard State Best Warrior Competition at Fort McCoy, Wis., March 6, 2025. Soldiers were tested on their ability to concisely order an artillery strike on a target during the call-for-fire event. The State Best Warrior Competition is an annual event where participants compete in various warrior skill challenges, including weapons proficiency, land navigation, physical fitness tests, combat first aid, tactical maneuvers, communications, and professional development exercises.
