A U.S. Navy Sailor assigned to amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25) instructs U.S. Marines assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, I Marine Expeditionary Force, during weapons familiarization training in preparation for a live-fire exercise on the ship’s portside bridge wing as part of the Quarterly Underway Amphibious Readiness Training 25.2 while underway in the Pacific Ocean, March 7, 2025. QUART is a joint training exercise designed to develop and sustain essential amphibious readiness skills for effective operations in maritime environments while reinforcing the Navy-Marine Corps partnership.
