Soldado Naun Isaias Ramirez Hernandez, a sniper in the Comando de Fuezas Especiales (Special Forces Command), Fuerza Armada de El Salvador, crosses the finish line of the 12.4 mile foot march, the last major event of the 2025 New Hampshire Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition, March 9, 2025, in Hampton Beach, N.H. Ramirez finished first in the event with a time of 1 hour, 58 minutes, 41 seconds. He was one of five competitors from the nations of El Salvador and Cabo Verde, whose participation in the competition highlighted the importance of the State Partner Program.
"The best thing for the New Hampshire National Guard Soldiers and Airmen is the fact that they can compete and meet our two partner nations, both El Salvador and Cabo Verde," said Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. David Mikolaities, "It's all about allies and partners; we don't fight alone."
