U.S. Marines with the Silent Drill Platoon execute the "long line" sequence as a part of a battle color ceremony at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, Calif. on Mar. 8, 2025. This ceremony was held for the poolees and recruiters of the San Diego area as part of the Battle Color Detachment's West Coast Tour. The 2025 Battle Color Detachment Tour is being conducted in honor of the 250th U.S. Marine Corps birthday and enables the Marines to prefect the drill sequences prior to the 2025 Marine Barracks Washington Parade Season.
